Revelation 14: 19-20

For my research paper I will be focusing on the Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I just love Steinbeck's work and I guess you could say I am obsessed with his style- 1900's American literature, discussing controversial topics such as loss of innocence, socialism, and the cruelties of the world, with so many biblical illusions that the analysis would take an entire book to fill up. Okay that might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point? Plus, in high school I wrote a similar essay on this novel and so I think a reevaluation would be interesting to do!

Audiences that I believe would be interested are:
- Those who follow politics because of it's addressing of the subject of socialism, especially with the election coming up
- Religious groups because it has at least on Christ figure and biblical allusions which bring the bible to life.
- High school aged students who are studying this in their classes and could use a deeper understanding of the text.

And I mean there are probably tons more but I'll leave it at that!

  1. Way to make it relevant! I think that relating it to the current political situation is a fantastic idea. I've never read The Grapes of Wrath, but I'm interested to follow your take on it.
